This site was developed in the Fall, 2005 to include information and updates about Strategic Dairy Business Development Opportunities for the Maghreb countries of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. We welcome your input and feedback as several initiatives within this important region develop in collaboration with several progressive US dairy companies and organizations.
Dairy Strategies, LLC, an internationally recognized dairy business consulting company in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville International Business Resources Center have taken a leadership role in this initiative with support from several US companies and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.
We completed our first successful WEBINAR with the "Board of Directors” (see the Directory tab for members on the Board) on December 20, 2005 and our second webinar was held, January 17, 2006, followed by our third webinar on February 21st and our fourth and final webinar prior to the summit on March 22nd.
A very successful Strategic Planning Summit was held in Tunis, May 3-4, 2006, with nearly 100 dairy industry leaders from across the Maghreb in attendance.
As a result of the Strategic Planning Summit, work is underway in a number of key areas identified during the Summit, to move the dairy sector forward in this important region of the world.
